Well Hello There Stranger!

Well, I haven't done a blog in so long it's scary... Yikes.

Tomorrow is my sweethearts birthday, and although we are not married, these words of encouragement still helped me put things into perspective.  I get these lovely uplifting blogs sent to me. I thought I would share this one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Pampered Princess

Pampering Shelby Night :)

As you can see, my little Shelby is VERY excited about her Suprise! :)

She is getting her first manicure and pedicure (that she'll remember) and she is SUPER excited about it!!! When we got there, we had to wait about 30 minutes or so, and she was patiently waiting. :)

While we were waiting, we did what we do best... Act GOOFY!!!

Then at last it came time to get her nails done!
I thought she would be timid, and act shy.  But she was far from it!

She kept asking me though, why are they putting paper towels between my toes? :)

Her smile was priceless! She looked over at me and said, "Oh Ma-Ma, THANK YOU! NOW all the other kids are gonna wonder who did my nails!" I told her to say at the "salon".  She said, "Ok... at the "calon"".

She also told me, "We do fun things together Ma-Ma.  I just love you! You make me feel special."  Knowing that this had mad her so happy, made my day!

Oh the joy that she brings into my life! I love her so much! She is absolutely the best gift I've ever received! :) And the best thing that has ever happened to me!

After her nails finished drying, she wanted to sit in the "big girl chair" and that was the finishing touch on her special night.  She LOVED every minute of her pampering! :)

Can't wait till our next pamper session together! :) She is the most wonderful thing that's ever happened to me! Oh how I love this youngin!

Really?!

So I've walked into a nail salon here in Loganville. Not wearing anything crazy. I mean seriously, there's a girl with pink and purple hair gerting worked on... and I walk in with a brown shirt, jeans and a camo hat and I'm looked at by everyone like I'm some sorta freak. Wow... really? You want business or not? Don't they have bad hair days? Guess not LOL.

Well after I got in the chair I spoke with one of the employees about how I felt when I got there she said that they all looked up because business was starting to pick up. She told me thay all was fine and I didn't look out of place that we should all be comfy.

Guess it doesn't hurt to talk about your feelings, even with strangers.  My nail girl Nikki was excellent at her job and she was very friendly.

Moral of the story, don't judge a book by its cover. :)

Good night all :)

Faith of a Child

So, me and my little Doodle Bug have been planting flowers and plants like crazy.  She's really gotten into this whole "watching things grow" which makes this Ma-Ma very happy. :)

We started out with some in hanging plants, and then I decided we would try some with seeds.  Now... anyone with a 3 year old knows... they want to see results, like... NOW!

So as we were sitting on the porch digging in the dirt in our planters, I showed her how to place the seeds and then cover them up.  When we were finished, of course we watered them, and I went to stand up and put them back on the ledge of the porch.  When all of a sudden she says, "NOW, WAIT a minute!" I asked her what was wrong, and she replied, "WHERE are my flowers?" I thought this was going to get ugly quick. I told her that they were in the dirt, and that God was going to send sunshine and rain to make them grow, and that it would just take a little time.  She seemed content with that.

A couple days passed by, and we were out watering our flowers, and she was wondering where those were. I said they'd be in soon. Then low and behold, the very next day, we had little sprouts about 1 inch high coming through our soil.  She was SOOO EXCITED! She started saying, "Well... hello little flower. Goodnight little flower."

It's such a joy to watch a child enjoy something so much.  Especially something that God takes control over. :)

We can learn a lot of life lessons from a child... Sit back, ponder, have faith and let God take the lead.  With God, all things are possible. "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 KJV
What mighty and powerful God we serve!
